The Premiere announced on June 9, 2020 that churches may open to 30% of their seating capacity for the purpose of worship and 10 people in small groups. The seating capacity of Pine Grove is 180 making the maximum 60 people for worship. The regular attendance is over 100 on a Sunday Morning. The leadership was not able to create a plan prior to this announcement because of the uncertainty of the incremental increase for legal gatherings. A plan is now being created in preparation for a July 5th partial re-opening
The June services will be online via youtube. You are encouraged to gather in groups of no more than 10 people in your homes to watch the service together. We do encourage social distancing and hand washing. We do not encourage the sharing of food. We are all responsible and respectful people; it is up to each of us to make decisions suitable as to each one’s level of comfort and vulnerability.
The leadership is working diligently to get us all gathered. Thank you for your patience.
The 3rd video by Mina Ryce in her series, "A Moment with Mina" will be up on youtube this afternoon. In this episode Mina ponders the concept of Christian Growth. The series is available at www.pgcc.ca under the MINISTRIES tab.
Pine Grove is excited to announce the launch of a new YouTube channel - A Moment with Mina by our very own Mina Ryce. Mina will be posting a series of short devotional videos on relative topics (so far we have Peace and Limits). You can access this series from the church website www.pgcc.ca under the MINISTRIES tab and select A Moment with Mina. Enjoy, Be Blest and Thank You Mina.
Thank you for your message today. It reinforced my evening worship time in that the themes of our prayers should go beyond our own needs allowing us to enter into a union with God regarding many thoughts
.….here I am Lord…..send me……Here I am Lord…..to worship you in Spirit and Truth
…….our proclamation of belief in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
…….our thanksgiving for the gifts given to us this day (i.e. our daily bread)
…….proclamation of our sinfulness and our sincere request for the forgiveness of our sins
…….our prayer of thanksgiving…..recognizing the truth and the characteristics of God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all of which bring joy, hope, salvation, truth, guidance, fellowship, and so much more.
…….our request for the physical and spiritual healing of others “may Your mighty hand of healing Lord God be upon those we know" (stating this phrase for each individual I know who have ailments. Also a general prayer for those who are suffering from the virus, etc. who I do not know.
...….our request for the indwelling of God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit into the hearts of our love ones who do not presently worship God
..…..our prayer that God will bless our relatives, our friends, our neighbours, people throughout the world and this country Canada
..….prayer for the protection of God’s missionaries, pastors and laymen who preach God’s gospel
.…..our prayer that a multitude of new believers will come to worship God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit this day and that these new believers will join with God’s remnants of believers found throughout the world.
.…..proclamation of the truth that is God the Father, Jesus, God’s son and the Holy Spirit”””"bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me bless His holy name””””" (also bless Jesus, bless the Holy Spirit)
……asking God to bless my dear wife Shirley, to keep Shirley in His holy care, to give Shirley good health and to one day welcome Shirley into His kingdom to spend eternity with God Almighty, with Jesus Christ, and with the Holy Spirit
……asking God that His will with be done in my life, that I may walk along His path of rightness, and that I may one day enter into God’s kingdom and spend eternity with God Almighty, with Jesus Christ and with the Holy Spirit
.…..asking God to give me insight into rendering an improved spiritual prayer time
.…..The Lord’s Prayer.
Again, I thank you for your words this day.

Brian Pritchard put it well when he said, "The church is not empty; the church is deployed". Isn't that the way that Jesus meant the church to be? Jesus used words like "go" and "sent" not come and sit. Tremendous kingdom work is being accomplished. People are sharing videos of themselves performing gospel music on facebook; keep it up! We had some extra hand sanitizer that we shared with small business trades people who are still working but couldn't find any in the stores for their employees. We fed 118 people in Kingston last Sunday and we will be feeding 200 this coming Saturday and Sunday. There is a missions meeting tonight over ZOOM. One Connection Group meets weekly over zoom while another continues their study through email. People are taking leadership roles in their Connection Groups that they would not have taken before covid-19. The board has been working frantically making sure that everyone in the congregation is cared for because we want you to be loved and cared for so that you can be a witness for Christ to your friends, neighbours and family. Our Sunday Morning youtube service is getting about 150 hits which translates to 200 - 300 people. We haven't had attendance like that in years. People are putting phones beside their TV's so that folks without the internet can listen to the service. The Free Methodist Church in Canada hosted a nation-wide prayer meeting on Sunday Night through facebook live. It was awesome. We are working on something similar for Pine Grove - stay tuned. We are hearing reports that the gathering restrictions may be in place for many more weeks. When I heard this, I'll be honest, I was discouraged. At the same time I am excited beyond the comprehensible because my "... God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever." (Ephesians 3:20-21). My high school motto was "carpe diem" Latin for "seize the day". Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how to seize the day for Christ - not just one day but every day. God's got this!!
This week's video has been uploaded to Youtube. Church starts on Sunday any time after 9 AM. You can come to church in your pj's if you like. Don't tell anyone but in the video I am wearing blue jeans; that's our little secret. This week's video has some extras included. I have been playing with video creating software and have completed a first attempt. Next week we hope to add a children's story. Thank you for your patience Pine Grove and Friends. In His Service, Pastor Dan

In so many ways. Pine Grove, your messages and comments through social media are an encouragement. Your acts of kindness to others is inspiring. I went to some stores today to see if the employees had hand sanitizer for themselves. Those that did, asked me if I wanted to use theirs. What generosity!! There are trades people working in small business that don't have access to hand sanitizer. I am happy to share with them. The Bishop phoned today to check in on us. I was pleased to report that Pine Grove is moving along just fine. Keep up the good works! Share some stories here or on facebook, about the blessings of this season.
Thank you everyone who signed up for Hugs from a Distance. A full compliment of volunteers has been received and the project is now fully operational. Thank You Pine Grove. If you attend Pine Grove Church and you live alone someone will be hugging you from a distance. I will try to hug you ask often as I can with phone calls and emails.
A video by Dr. Brian Hart a physician in Gananoque has been uploaded to the church website. You will find it in the YOUR HEALTH tab on www.pgcc.ca.

Record Number Turn Out for Sunday Service
Ann and I were at the church building this morning at 10:30 AM. The total attendance was 2. The offering was zero (we tithe every other week). There were no children, no babies, some music, a lot of praying and the quiet was deafening except for the church bell that rang 12 times.. However, the YouTube message had 117 views (5 of those were probably me testing it). Making an assumption that half of the views were watched by more than one person and some people watched it individually instead of together, the estimated attendance this morning was 150 people. It is hard to say, but lets go with that.
I have included a picture of the altar stairs with three sheets of paper. On the papers are the names of all the church family (and a few more). Know that you have been brought before the altar of God today.
Blessings, Pastor Dan
